Laundry

I try to make laundry joyful. I think about my husband and son wearing nice clean clothes. I think about a closet full of hung clothes. Keeping joyful thoughts makes a task that I would rather not do better. I have a very tiny washer. It fits 4 towels in it and take about an hour and a half to do a load. My dryer is bigger but takes 2 or more hours to dry. So a normal sized washers load takes me 2 or 3 times as long to do. Our washer is NEVER off. The sound calms my baby. He has known it since he was a newborn. It drifts him off to sleep while he is neatly wrapped on my back. I love that about our washer. It makes me see how wonderful things can come out of not so wonderful situations. I think God is amazing like that. He makes laundry a blessing.

Come August

I will be meal planning and having wholesome meals ready when my husband comes home from work.

I will be back to sewing and crafting. The excuse of "just" having a baby isn't really truthful anymore.

I will be working with Atticus on learning to read using Monki See, Monki do.

I will be working out. I look good for "just" having a baby but I need to tone up.

I will be reading Scripture every morning before my loved ones rise.
